What's the chocolate?

Les Chocolateries Askanya is Haiti’s first and only premier bean-to-bar chocolate company. They exclusively use Haitian cacao to produce chocolates in their facility located in Ouanaminthe, Haiti.

What's the honey?

It's produced on an urban farm in Northern Philadelphia by Instar Apiaries. The local hives have never been treated with chemicals and are antibiotics-free.

More on the chocolate.

Askanya was co-founded by Corinne Joachim Sanon. She's an engineer and went to business school here in Philadelphia. The company was founded in 2015. The chocolate is produced, packaged and shipped from Haiti.

Askanya now works directly with 500 farmers in Northern Haiti. For more information on Askanya, click here: Haiti bean-to-bar

More on the honey.

Instar was founded by Jeff Eckel, a beekeeper and beehive inspector. The honey is produced and packaged from a historic location in North Philadelphia called the Stenton Estate.

The estate was home to James Logan, secretary to Pennsylvania founder William Penn. General George Washington headquartered at Stenton before the Battle of Germantown in 1777. For more on Instar, click here: Philly Honey
